For this retrofit project, the client required the replacement of two obsolete Woodward 5009 and Protech controls with the latest 5009FT and Protech GII controls, respectively, for their Reactor Effluent Compressor turbines. The predecessor 5009 and Protech controls had operated reliably with no issues for the last 15 years, the client naturally chose Woodward as the control of choice for the replacement project.
